Marie S.M. Dickinson is an accomplished attorney and litigator with a distinguished background spanning complex civil law, probate, guardianship, non-profit representation and dependency matters, fortified by a strong foundation in military and educational leadership.
As the founder and principal of Dickinson Law Group PLLC, she provides comprehensive legal counsel in areas estate planning, probate adminstration, family law, juvenile law, foreclosure defense, partitions and quiet titles. She has successfully represented clients in complex legal matters and is adept at negotiating and mediating complicated probate, civil and family law issues.
Her practice is marked by deep expertise in probate and guardianship administration, having recently served as a Senior Attorney/Lead Litigator for a major law firm. This included formal and summary administrations, plenary and limited guardianships, and high-value estate planning, trust creation, and asset protection.
Complementing her private practice, Ms. Dickinson has significant experience in advocacy, serving as a Senior Attorney with the State of Florida Guardian ad Litem Program. In this role, she led extensive litigation efforts for abused, neglected, and abandoned children, providing training to newly hired attorneys and staff on the intricacies of dependency law, trial preparation, and trial procedures. She is highly experienced in litigating trials involving civil, dependency, statutory, and administrative law.
Prior to her civilian legal career, Ms. Dickinson served in the United States Army, where she was selected for the highly competitive Funded Legal Education Program (FLEP). She advised Flag Officers on contract disputes, military ethics, and operational regulations. Her leadership experience also extends to education, where she held positions as a Curriculum Leader, managing department operations, teacher training and developing standards-based curricula.
Ms. Dickinson holds a Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary (2011), a Master of Arts in International Relations / National Security Affairs from Troy State University (2006), and a Bachelor of Sciences in Social Science Education from the University of Central Florida (1999).
